Birthday Dinner

It is my birthday today and we went out for a beautiful dinner. The whole day has been very enjoyable. Thank you Brenda and Rebekah for making it a special day.

The Salad Bar

For all you health conscious people out there I hope you have had a nice healthy meal today. I rather like the variety of colours we get with our different foods to make our meals interesting.

Time waits for no-one

In what has been a very busy day, it seemed like there were not enough hours to get everything done. Time marches on no matter what we think or do and we cannot change it’s advancement. It is up to us to make the right decisions to maximise the time that we have.

Rebekah's Boots

We had our first Summer Rain for 2010 in the last 24 hours. A welcome relief after 3 scorching days over 40 degrees celsius this week.

The Old Plow

When I look at this old plow I reflect on what it must of been like for our Pioneers who toiled the land with such primitive machinery. I think one thing that has been lost with the advancement of technology is a solid work ethic. Too many people these days want everything handed to them rather than putting in a committed effort and rewarded accordingly.

42 Degrees and No Beach

Looking at my daughters bathers on the clothes line tonight and having consecutive days over 40 degrees, I think I should consider moving my business to the coast. At least there would be a beach to welcome me after work. The building we are currently renting as an office has no air conditioner and the water cooler struggled to keep the office below 35 degrees today.

Has the arsonist struck again?

We have had a number of fires in recent months in bushland on the outskirts of town. On arrival back into town after a weekend away another section of bushland was ablaze. If it was lit by our local arsonists, I hope they catch them soon.

Family Reunion

This is the first time in over 10 years that I have been together with all my cousins and their families. It was a fantastic night of fun and food. By all accounts it won’t be so long before we all get together again.

Pickets

This is a picket fence with the late afternoon sun shining through from the back. The fence is actually all cream but with the front of the fence in the shade it has created an interesting colour tone on the face of the pickets.

The Great Aussie BBQ

This project wouldn’t be complete without a picture of our great Aussie tradition. I have included a beef steak and a lamb chop so I can’t be accused of favouritism.
