Whilst travelling home from holidays on the weekend I oberved an eagle feeding off this kanagaroo carcass. Unfortunately, I was unable to stop in time which resulted in the eagle soaring back into the sky. It would have made a great photo had I been able to capture the eagle feeding.

On our trip home from Esperance this unique car was towing a little caravan. It was such an unusual sight that gave us a laugh.
This ship arrived in Esperance at 8am and is seen here departing at 6pm. We met some of the passengers whilst having morning tea in town who were from Canada. The informed us there was 1400 passengers and 700 crew on the cruise. It was quite a spectacle watching its departure as it set sail for Albany.
This was the first day out with the new Canon 400mm f/5.6L Lens and I was most impressed with it’s performance. We took a trip out from Esperance to Woody Island and also managed to photograph Seals, Sea Lions and Dolphins.
Another beautiful beach on the coastline west of Esperance.
Just before the setting sun there was a glimpse of sunshine fall upon the rocks. This is one of the most popular swimming beaches just west of Esperance.
After a 8 hour trip from Albany we arrived in Esperance to a light drizzle of rain. It was a scurry to get the tent up with the assistance of our neighbours in the park only to have the rain stop once we had the tent up.
It just wouldn’t be a proper holiday without good coffee and carrot cake. This was the start of much food for the week.
This is our camp site set up for the first two nights in Albany (Western Australia) and I’m looking forward to working my camera overtime.
When setting up the lighting for the School Ball photos these two girls jumped at the chance for some test shots to test the lighting. You will have to wait a week to see the real photos as we are heading away in the morning. The theme of the Ball is Winter Wonderland and I think they did an excellent job creating the backdrop for me.
