Welcome

I was born and raised in Narrogin, Western Australia. I picked up my first camera at the age of seven. It was a Kodak Brownie which I had a lot of fun shooting Black & White film.

After a few years I progressed to a 35mm fixed lens camera and won the
Junior Section of the local Agricultural Show Photographic awards on a
couple of occasions. After that I progressed to my first SLR and won the
Senior Section of the local Agricultural Show Photographic awards on
three occasions.

I learnt to develop my own black and white films and prints and also
experiment with Cibachrome Colour prints from a number of colour slides.

I commenced shooting Portraits and Weddings in 1982. In 2005 I had the room to build my own studio and really expand my equipment.

Over the past couple of years I have had the opportunity to photograph
some exceptional model talent in addition to family portraits and
weddings.

I primarily shoot digital now but still shoot film when I have the
chance.

I have been happily married to Brenda for 18 years and we have a
beautiful daughter (Rebekah) who was born in January 2006.

Day 97

Washing Dishes

Brenda and Rebekah are away for the night and I managed to get one of the household chores done.

Day 96

Empty Crates

While dropping a parcel off at the Bakery today, these empty crates caught my attention. They sit patiently here waiting for the next assignment.

Day 95

Washing Day

After being away for the Easter Weekend, Rebekah is helping hang out her own washing.

Day 94

Leonie the Actress

This was a spur of the moment shot as I swung my camera around and quickly leant over someone’s shoulder to capture the magic of Leonie. She is off to Los Angeles next year to pursue her acting interests.

Day 93

Leonie the Photographer

Whilst cousin Leonie was busy photographing Rebekah I grabbed a quick shot of her. I tried a few effects in processing the image to give it an artistic feel.

Day 92

Mindarie Sunset

Stayed with friends (Scott & Penny) just up the road from this mansion in Mindarie, Western Australia. The owners of this house look straight out over the ocean with an uninterrupted view.

Day 91

April Fool's Joke???

I bought this Wireless Modem this afternoon to be able to use the internet on my laptop while out of town for the Easter Weekend. Before opening the box I attempted to activate the modem only to be told by the person on the phone that the number on the box was activated in someone else’s name and I would have to return it to place of purchase. Great – this was 10 minutes after they closed for the weekend. I was not happy to put it mildly!

Day 90

Narrogin at Night

Not much happening down town tonight. This image was hand held utilising street lights for lighting.

Day 89

Kindy Fund Raiser

Rebekah’s kindergarten had a fund raising event today in the form of an Obstacle-Athon. All the children did really well and the event was followed by hot dogs and icy poles for lunch.

Day 88

How's your heartbeat?

I thought it was appropriate to photograph my Blood Pressure Monitor as a reminder to us all that we need to take care of ourselves. Remember, its your heart that keeps you alive.
